getting started After you decide that you'd like to visit Costa Rica, the next step is deciding what kind of trip would be best for you. Important criteria to consider would include: - What kind of trip you were expecting and what kind of experience you were hoping to have? - Are you looking to be active or would you like a slower paced trip? - Do you mind being with a small group of 6 - 12 people or would you prefer to be on your own? - Is budget an issue? - Are you traveling with children younger than 12? Perhaps you already know the answers to some of the above questions and you will be able to determine which of our trips or which style of trip (general or custom) you'd prefer. If so, drop us a line and we'll get you squared away. If you need some help sorting out your options, our travel planners can talk to you about hotels, routes, destinations and activities and anything else that you have questions about concerning your trip.Feel free to call or send an email or tell us as much as you can about your trip by filling out our inquiry form. When to Book: Traditionally high season/ winter in Costa takes place from December 15th through May 1st. The most in demand dates during that time frame are December 24th through January 1st. Whether you're considering embarking on one of our existing trips or designing a trip of your own, in order to secure availability and ensure maximum flexibility, we encourage you to consider booking December and January trips by May. The advent of Costa Rica's growing popularity, however, has carved out mini high seasons that are in nearly equal demand as the holiday season. We recommend booking for these time frames at least 3 months in advance. February:
Due to Presidents Day weekend and February School March and April: Coincides with school spring breaks and Easter vacation. May: Due to wedding season honeymoons, Memorial Day weekend, and school summer vacation. |
